KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. The Locksmith repairs and opens locks, makes keys, changes lock combinations using hand tools and special equipment. Responsibilities include disassembling locks such as padlocks, safe locks, and door locks, repairing or replacing worn tumblers, springs, and other parts, and moving lockpick in cylinder to open door locks without keys. The role requires maintaining records of company locks and keys. The position is located in Chantilly, VA, with travel between Chantilly and Springfield, VA facilities, and is expected to be onsite 100%. Duties include installing locks and security systems, duplicating keys and creating master keys, changing lock combinations, installing safes, providing emergency lockout services, maintaining quality control, facilitating team communication, and other duties as required. Qualifications include 5+ years of locksmith experience, GSA certification, ability to travel, familiarity with lockpicking tools and techniques, excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, adaptability, decision-making ability, and an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required is also necessary.
